Mission & Vision

Here at West Cobb Church, we exist so people may experience the life changing impact of Jesus and be equipped to help others experience the same.

The vision of West Cobb Church is create a community of authentic believers and to witness a city transformed by the life changing reality of the gospel, as people come to know Jesus. 

You can't do it alone. You are not alone. You have community here. Gathering together as a family is a big part of our story at West Cobb Church. Jesus said in Matthew, "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."  When we gather and bring God into the mix we see great things happen. We see life change happen. God designs us for community, and as such, we gather every weekend to worship and learn more about God’s story for our lives; while also providing smaller group settings that can develop deeper relationships within our church family. 

We give to celebrate all that God has done for us. The book of Proverbs reminds us “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and He will repay him for his deed.” God changes our story from us being selfish to being selfless and we believe that evidence of God’s transforming power is shown in how we give. At West Cobb Church, you have the opportunity to give cheerfully and generously through your time, talent and treasure. From around the corner to around the world, we are generous with all that God has so generously given to us.

The Bible is God's story of love to every one of us. Let us be clear, God loves you! We want you to feel that at West Cobb Church by growing in your relationship with Jesus and understanding who you are in Him. John 15:5 says, "I (Jesus) am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." What we have with Jesus is a relationship, and healthy relationships are always in a state of growth and development. We are not perfect and we don't expect others to be either. When we can accept our imperfections as well as those in others we can begin to really grow and create beautiful connections. We all need friends. We need people to share in the joys, burdens, and adventures of life. We need relationships that go deeper than Sunday mornings; to impact every day. We grow through learning each other's stories, and how God interacts in those stories. We offer environments for you to make these lifelong friendships through a variety of different groups and events.

Going is our action-response to growing in our relationship with Jesus. When we grow it becomes natural that we would want to share our story with others. In the book of Matthew, Jesus finishes his earthly story by telling his disciples to go and tell others. Stories can inspire, challenge, teach, reveal, and encourage their listeners. You have a one-of-a-kind story that only you can share with the world. We believe those stories can affect change, and therefore we can change the world, one story at a time. This is our goal here as a faith family. The world can be a crazy and scary place at times, but through our stories we hope to bring encouragement for others. While we can't fix everything, we can, -through God- make a huge effort to impact those around us for the better.  Together, we can make a difference to our neighbors and the nations.
